I am trying to eat healthy and what is more healthy than oatmeal and yogurt? It is also good to have breakfast I can eat in the car or once I get to my destination like chemotherapy. I have read about the different takes on Refrigerator Oatmeal. I have found different recipes with different ingredients. Here is my take on Make ahead Refrigerator Oatmeal:
1 cup of uncooked old fashion oatmeal
1 cup whole milk
1 cup cherry vanilla no fat yogurt (you can use any flavor or just plain with 3 Tablespoons of honey)
Put all ingredients in a Mason Jar and mix. Cover and refrigerate overnight. It can be saved for up to 3 days. Serve cold.
You can add walnuts, peanut or almond butter, sunflower seeds, fruit..
